Friday September 2- the Flight Home

I woke up with plenty of time to do a cardio workout and have breakfast before heading over to Heathrow.  Passage to airside was greatly facilitated by the use of FastTrack (due to my Business Class ticket), carry-on only and on-line check-in the evening before.  Oddly, there was no Border Control- maybe because all my passport information had been entered?  I settled into the lounge with plenty of time before my flight.

The flight took off and landed a bit early, making it easy for me to connect to my flight to Kansas City after an hour or so in the Lounge.  I got home to an intact house, empty bird feeders and plenty of weeds in the garden.

It was a fantastic trip and I'm glad I ventured out despite the headlines about the difficulties traveling right now.
